2017 is complete!

… but I was able to do an unplanned photo session when some friends dropped by one night.

While my wife and her friend were chatting and catching up, I took our friend’s daughter Sade down to the studio to have a bit of a play with some lighting I like, but haven’t had much of a chance to use in 2017.

I wanted to create a nice low key look using just one light. My intention was to have a lot of shadow on Sade to create a moody feel, yet show off her natural features.

 I have had the opportunity to photograph Sade for a few years now. It has been cool to be able to capture her at different ages and to see how her clothing and hair styles have changed over the years.
